Sharpen dancing skills

We work to improve all the skills you need to dance well. rhythm & timing, balance, spins & turns, partnering, leading & following, connection, and style. Every student has a different path to dancing well and we personalize every students development to what they need.

Monthly socials

Walk into a monthly social and instantly feel the warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting and the music is great. enjoy light refreshments. Have a chance to dance all the dances you enjoy. If you don’t hear the music you like, just ask and we will play it for you. 

Be yourself

Our philosophy is optimism and fun. If you feel uncomfortable you cannot learn! Every student is encouraged to be positive about themselves and others so you can feel comfortable being yourself at any level of dance.  

A little

History

Rhythm in Shoes  was born in a roundabout way. Instead of starting with a vision of what our dance studio would be, it started with a vision of how a dance environment should feel.

Oh, yeah – we already had a following of students. Sure, we already had a dance space we used on a part-time basis. Both worked well and worked well together. But the vision of a dance space where students would feel ‘at home’ and ‘welcome’ is what we wanted – we just didn’t “know” it yet!.

Achievements

In 1994, I was awarded the Pro-AM Competitors Instructors award at the UCWDC Country World Championships in Nashville, Tennessee. 

My Vision

It was one day I found the ‘diamond in the rough’ space that the fog began to clear and the vision began to materialize. That’s how great things begin, a little luck, & a great vision.
